HCL Tech – a leadership success


MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY staff first, then customers. It summarizes the leadership philosophy of HCL Technologies, a global company with roots in India. One approach that first made customers angry.

Many customers felt their support and left the room, “says Anand Pillai, who is responsible for EFCS program (Employees First, Customers second) at HCL Technologies. They were accustomed to all said that customers come first.

Anand Pillai is on visit to HCL’s Sweden office on Sveavägen in Stockholm, where he meets clients and management team, including the Nordic CEO of HCL, Liselotte Hägertz Engstam.

Several HCL employees from including France, Germany, Norway and Denmark are also there. It is not an unusual situation in the global company. HCL Technologies is working with services in IT and product development and is headquartered in New Delhi, India. The company has been recognized in recent years for the modern style of leadership.

Harvard Business School are using us as a case in its strategy and organizational training, says Liselotte Hägertz Engstam and pour water for Anand Pillai, who tells us more about the company’s management philosophy.
